Group Audit (GA) is an international team of 200+ colleagues from 33 different nationalities, working as one function. We work with a common purpose: to keep Zurich safe. As a leader within the GA team you will play a pivotal role, working with the Audit Leader for Group Operations and Technology and Zurich Global Ventures (ZGV) to design and develop the future strategy for IT audit in GA; deliver and role model changes; and build a continual learning environment for the team. It will require excellent vision, supportive leadership style, creativity, perseverance and ability to influence the people around you. How you will make an impact

As the Audit Director IT, working with the Audit Leader for Group Operations and Technology you will have global responsibilities for:

Setting the strategy and direction for our IT audit activities and delivering on these activities

Developing our IT capabilities across our entire team of 200+ auditors in 19 countries

Inspiring and energising the group-wide team around the potential and possibilities in building IT skills. Taking the fear factor away and bringing genuine growth. Working with the IT audit community to continually develop capabilities and utilising tools and techniques for the future within the IT audit community

Continuously building a high performing environment across the IT audit community. Motivating through engaging the team in the vision and strategy, fostering an inclusive work environment and sense of community

Influencing senior leaders in Technology and Operations across the globe through strong relationships and insights, and acting as a strategic partner for senior IT leadership

Working with and engaging regional and functional GA audit leaders, the IT audit community and senior business leaders globally to lead and perform risk assessments, ensuring appropriate coverage of technology risks and develop appropriate audit plans for IT risks across Zurich.

Leading a portfolio of audits including group-wide thematic reviews and ensuring the right level of insight and involvement from IT auditors across audits, including scoping, audit reporting and critical stakeholder meetings.

Identifying themes and trends, systemic/emerging issues and sharing insights with senior IT stakeholders across the globe as well as well as supporting reporting into Group and relevant local boards and audit committees

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field or professional qualification

+15 years of relevant experience in auditing Information Technology areas;

Experience in the Financial Services Industry, specifically Insurance is an advantage

Knowledge of emerging technologies (Robotics, API, Cloud, Data Loss Prevention) is a plus

Experience in leading teams within diverse and international organizations in a hybrid and/or remote working environment

Excellent project management skills. Ability to manage complex projects in parallel, deliver on time and with high quality standards while guiding / coaching the teams

A good track record of implementing change and transformation through developing people, as well implementing a learning culture

Proven ability to influence teams and C-Level executives

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Passion and enthusiasm to continue to grow yourself and others around you. Track record in developing skills and competencies required in the team

Fluent written and spoken English skills. German or other European language is a plus
