Job Overview
The main tasks and responsibilities include:
Leading the compliance process in the context of joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions
Providing advice on and negotiating compliance clauses in the context of joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions documentation
Reporting to the Global Head of Anti-Corruption and Bribery and acting as an escalation point
Exposure to other business functions with a compliance nexus, including Sustainability and Human Rights
Developing and shaping your existing skills within a dynamic organisation that encourages independent thought
Working on the implementation and enhancement of compliance policies, procedures, tools, and systems controls
Developing and providing compliance training to the business and Compliance team members globally
Monitoring and analysing regulatory changes/updates from various authorities
Self-motivated, enthusiastic and a true team player with a high level of trust and integrity
Experienced in managing a team and interacting with various stakeholders
Organised with strong planning skills, attention to detail and solutions-oriented
Driven by a desire to enact change
Qualifications and requirements:
Minimum 2:1 degree from a top tier university
At least 6 years of experience as a qualified lawyer
Experience in the following areas would be desirable but not essential:
JV/M&A including the compliance due diligence process, acquisition, and integration
ACB advisory experience in disputes / investigations
Fluent in English; other language skills would be a bonus, but not essential
Experience in working in an exciting and fast changing environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Holder of a Swiss work permit or CH / EU passport holder
