Job content

The Junior Supramax / Panamax trader works within the freight trading/chartering team. This will involve working closely with other traders and team colleagues as well as with people in other departments, companies and field offices.The main tasks and responsibilities include:

• pricing of internal and third party voyage rates
• trading the position
• bunker trading & hedging
• FFA trading & hedging

Requirements

Qualifications and requirements:• Two to four years of commercial experience within freight trading/chartering

• Familiarity of global Supramax and Panamax trading routes

• understanding of hedging practices and management of trading position

• proficiency in English (both verbal and written), any further language is an asset

The ideal candidate:

• is efficient, able to work under pressure, very well organized, detailed and comfortable in using IT applications (MS Office)

• has the ability to integrate into and to work well in a multicultural team and fast-pace environment

• has an independent, flexible and entrepreneurial work attitude and high motivation to solve problems

• has an eye for details

• has strong negotiating skills

• is self-motivated and willing to take over responsibilities
