Job Overview

This is a challenging and interesting position within Legal IWMS (Investment & Wealth Management Solutions) as a legal expert with a focus on Swiss (and European) financial markets regulation regarding the promotion and distribution of financial instruments.
Legal IWMS is a small team of highly motivated and dynamic lawyers that works on various Swiss and European regulatory topics and advises and supports internal stakeholders in legal matters inter alia with regard to the promotion of financial instruments by way of investment marketing and/or research publications.
The role provides opportunities to engage in specific projects and initiatives relating to the Bank’s framework on (cross-border) distribution of investment marketing and/or research publications.
You will also have a close working relationship with the colleagues responsible for the Bank’s cross-border framework as well as compliance, front office and branding.

This position offers remote working opportunities for an agreed amount of days per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyzing and defining legal requirements, in particular regarding (cross-border) distribution of investment marketing and research publications

Drafting and revising of legal disclaimers, in particular for investment marketing and research publications

Reviewing of investment marketing and research publications including legal disclaimers

Provide ad-hoc, efficient and client-oriented support in the area of (cross-border) distribution of investment marketing and/or research publications

Translation of complex and sophisticated regulatory requirements into simple business rules

Cooperation in a wide variety of projects within the bank (including sustainable finance regulation or digital assets)

University degree in law or similar legal education, preferably from a Swiss University, is a must; bar admission would be an asset

A minimum of 2 years of professional experience at a financial service provider (preferably private banking)

Analytical, structured and solution orientated

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, willingness to assume responsibility, dynamic, proactive, organized, motivated, resilient and accurate

Excellent command of written and spoken German and English is a must, additional languages would be an asset

Excellent knowledge of MS Office
