Job Overview

Our Private Markets Investment Management division is looking for a dynamic and entrepreneurially thinking Associate to join our Private Equity Fund Investment Team (Primaries) to be based in Pfaeffikon (SZ), near Zürich.

The successful applicant will be involved in the full lifecycle of private equity fund investments

Job information

Proactively identify PE fund investment opportunities, take ownership of due diligence processes, including in-person DD meetings, detailed underwriting of portfolio companies, reference calls;

Present investment recommendations to LGT CP’s Investment Committee and (over time) to LGT CP’s client base;

Maintain and build LGT CP’s network and relationships with PE managers: participate in update meetings with existing and potential new PE fund manager relationships, attend Annual General/Advisory Board Meetings;

Get involved in the origination and initial evaluation of secondary and co-investment opportunities;

Contribute to overall development of the multi-manager Private Equity practice.

University degree, preferably in finance, business or engineering from a top-tier university and an excellent academic track record;

2 – 4 years of relevant work experience, ideally from either a similar position in Alternative Asset Management / Private Equity Fund of Funds / Placement Agent, or in Investment Banking / Management Consulting;

Excellent analytical and financial skills;

Strong excel / basic financial modeling proficiency;

Proficient written and verbal English language skills, any other
European language, in particular German, is an advantage;

Self-starter personality with ability to work well in a multi-cultural team and under time pressure;

Exceptional interpersonal skills as well as outstanding written communication skills incl. ability to interact confidently and professionally with colleagues and senior industry professionals.
