Job Overview

The main tasks include:

Cash flow management and controlling of reinsurance contracts (reconciliation of reinsurance premium payments, both cash flows and expected);

Claims monitoring and processing (manage claims mailbox; check reserve levels; initiate loss payments);

Correspond with counterparties (brokers, insurers / reinsurers, insurance manager, fronting partners, etc.) on premium and loss inquiries and claims matters;

Manage and support recurring operational tasks, e.g., establish monthly reinsurance position reports, enter positions into LGT ILS’ proprietary portfolio management tool, etc.;

Participate in audits and support the (external) audit process where required (establish reports, reconcile and verify data requests, etc.);

Track claims progress and profitability as well as counterparty P&L balance;

Support other areas within the operations team including collateral management, month-end report generation, data entry and review.

Required: commercial experience (“Kaufmännische Berufsmittelschule KV/BMS”) in insurance / reinsurance, finance/accounting or banking;

Desirable: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Economics or Finance; experience with insurance/reinsurance accounting systems;

Experience in a similar position within the insurance / reinsurance industry;

Experience with insurance / reinsurance contract management systems a clear advantage;

Professional fluency in English; German is considered an advantage;

Integrity, motivation, analytical thinking team player with distinct organizational skills and attention to detail.
