Management Level: Senior ManagerA career within Actuarial Services, will provide you with the opportunity to contribute general insurance advice and consulting services to clients such as insurers, banks, regulators, and third party administrators. You’ll provide advice covering solvency, economic capital, risk management, mergers and acquisitions, company restructuring and risk control, financial modelling, underwriting, new legislation, and the efficiency of claims or reporting processes. Simply put, you might help analyse the impact that new regulation will have on an insurance company’s balance sheet or you could be revising businesses’ projections and making sure they have adequate reserves.
Your tasks

You help our clients to understand regulatory and financial reporting requirements (e.g. IFRS 17, Swiss Solvency Test, reserving) and you support them on diverse topics such as financial transformations, optimization of risk capital or products, modernization of tools or processes, data analytics, among others

You manage and deliver a wide range of concurrent actuarial and multidisciplinary advisory assignments, thereby interacting with clients as the main point of contact

You develop client relationships and you maintain a strong personal profile within PwC and in the Swiss insurance market to seeking out new business opportunities

You collaborate in the strategic management of the actuarial practice and you lead and drive forward one or several strategic product offerings

You further develop your leadership vision and skills in high performing and committed teams

You hold an university degree (e.g. M.Sc., Ph.D.) in actuarial / data science, mathematics, statistics or you have a proven track record as a P&C actuary in the (Swiss) insurance marketYou have at least 8 years of professional experience in the actuarial (consulting) field and you are experienced with leading projects and coaching of teams

You are a qualified actuary SAV or a Fellow of a recognized professional actuarial association

You have a commercial awareness and you have a good perception of current and potential disruptive business challenges in the P&C market

You have a client- and team-oriented mind set, you take on responsibility, you foster innovative solutions, and you are flexible to drive emerging topics such as behavioral or climate risk modelling, product optimization, etc.

You maintain a wide network in the Swiss insurance industry and you enjoy active participation in working parties of the Swiss insurance industry or the Actuarial Association

You are acquainted with statistical/actuarial software such as R, SAS, SQL, Emblem or others newly emerging in the P&C market

You are fluent in English and German and you have an excellent ability to communicate complex topics to diverse stakeholders. French is an additional advantage.
