Your Role
As a Senior Reserving Actuary your main responsibilities will involve:
Review, lead and perform actuarial analysis including the valuation of technical claims provisions.
Support the quarterly reserving financial closure and the preparation of the quarterly actuarial reserve reports to the regional Chief Actuary and Swiss CFO.
Coordinate with finance and accounting teams to ensure the adequacy of the balance sheet and profit and loss, and to complete regulatory submissions.
Ensure that quality, processes and standards are consistent with internal Zurich actuarial policies and guidance as well as existing regulations.
Lead partnering with other business functions including pricing, underwriting and claims, by providing insights into performance and implications for the business.
Fully-qualified actuary with at least five years’ non-life insurance experience, including Reserving experience
Ability to work independently and apply critical thinking
Ability to prioritize and deliver quality work under time pressure
Strong business acumen
Excellent German and English skills
