Job Overview
The main tasks and responsibilities include:
Organization and monitoring of alumina shipments for assigned contracts
Daily contact with ship brokers, agents, warehouses and surveyors
Opening of Letters of Credit and negotiating documents for collection of payment
Daily contact with producers, customers and field offices related to documentation, invoicing, payments, client exposure control and claim handling
Direct contact with traders for opening, writing and execution of contracts
Booking and recording shipments in our in-house computer system
Dealing with accounting in regard to bookings, monthly closing tasks and file liquidation
Is flexible, able to work under pressure and multi-task
Is a good team player with to integrate and work in a multicultural team and environment
Is efficient and well-organized with attention to detail
Has Good know-how in using MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Qualifications and requirements:
A solid educational background (commercial apprenticeship)
2-4 years of working experience in logistics and import/export administration, ideally in the commodity business
Fluent in English (spoken and written), further languages are of advantage
Holder of a Swiss work permit of CH/EU passport holder
