Job Overview
The Manager will be a key member of the Glenore Copper Business Development team based in Baar, Switzerland. The individual will work closely with other members of the Copper and Corporate teams to support our investment process. Responsibilities include evaluation of potential investment targets, internal capital project pipeline, supporting the execution of transactions, developing solid business case presentations and financial models, and coordinating due diligence.
The main tasks and responsibilities include:
• Support the Business Development team in screening and evaluating opportunities whilst assessing opportunities to enhance the internal portfolio
• Support the Business Development team phases of the investment process and overall assessment of opportunities (e.g. attractiveness, strategic fit, portfolio review, valuation, due diligence, key issues having a material impact on price and structuring) with the proactive and timely involvement of all relevant company stakeholders and functions
• Develop robust business case presentations and financial models and assess the value creation potential of acquisition, divestiture, other investment proposals
• Closely track activity and understand valuation metrics within the sector
• Consolidate due diligence findings whilst building and accurately articulating the business case
• Participate in developing stages post investment
• Actively adhere to regulations, corporate governance/ policies, support implementation of adequate checks and balances during deal execution process
• Ensure knowledge sharing and transfer across the team and the firm
• Strong financial analysis skills; valuation and presentation skills
• Bachelor’s Degree (North America) or Master’s degree (Europe) or professional qualification (e.g. CA,CFA, CPA, ACA)
• Work well under pressure and high aptitude to learn quickly
• Self-starter with the ability to integrate quickly and form global relationships both internally and externally
• Project management and interpersonal skills with ability to work on multiple projects and within diverse teams
• Excellent communication skills including the ability to present and articulate effectively
