Your tasks

You are part of PwC Switzerland’s Technology User Experience team, leading the Workplace Services group.

You are responsible for end-user computing services – laptops, mobile devices and virtualized desktops. This includes operating, developing and continuously improving our services in terms of hardware and software platforms, policies and processes.

You take end-to-end responsibility for your services – from understanding business processes and demands to implementing innovative solutions to successful handover into daily operations. This includes analysing and fixing problems in 2nd level support and coordinating third-level support (global PwC teams, external vendors).

You lead a group of engineers and service managers in providing PwC IT Workplace Services and coach them in their personal development. You ensure that the skillset in your group covers todays and future needs.

In your role as the Workplace Services Manager you’ll take the technical lead, identify areas of improvement and drive the development of the workplace architecture. As well you trigger initiatives and act in the role of a project manager.

As part of the IT in the larger PwC network, you contribute to local and global IT projects. You enjoy working with other colleagues from other countries and understand large-scale distributed projects and their operational model.

You provide engineering expertise and implement solutions that allow our business to grow. At the same time, you ensure that our endpoints are secure and compliant with local and global policies.

You have a senior experience in the IT endpoint area and a solid technical background: Endpoint management with VMware Workspace ONE,
Active Directory and GPO management, Windows 10 and/or Windows 11, Automation using PowerShell (and other scripting languages)

You are an experienced and motivated leader which can guide a group of specialists.

You can provide a proven track of leadership in technical implementations and projects.

You bring a strong positive and service-oriented attitude, take ownership of your services and you like to communicate to end-users, managers and colleagues.

You know how to analyze problems in a structured and methodical way and think “outside the box” to achieve a good solution, e.g. by utilizing monitoring tools and network traces to identify bottlenecks.

If you have experience (or a strong interest) in one of the following technologies, this can be an advantage: Enterprise Mobility Systems (EMM), e.g. VMware Workspace ONE, Virtual desktop infrastructure, e.g. VMware Horizon or Citrix XenDesktop or Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD, Data classification and encryption (such as Microsoft Information Protection), Cloud-based productivity (G Suite, Office365 Suite), Service Management tools and methodology (i.e. ServiceNow)

You take endpoint security seriously and have worked with antivirus, privilege management and anti-malware tools and products like Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Thycotic, Nexthink, Splunk

You have a “can do” attitude and welcome new challenges. You like working on multiple tasks in parallel and are ready to take on responsibility from day one. A full todo-list appeals to you and you like an agile environment.

You are fluent (written and spoken) in English. German language skills are preferred but not a must.
