Job Overview

The main tasks and responsibilities include:

Preparing and reviewing of the laytime and demurrage calculations

Monitoring and following up on the laytime calculations and settlements

Demurrage and Freight invoicing administration

Continuously monitoring and following up on unsettled claims

Communicating directly with the relevant counterparts (Broker, Agents, Ports, etc.)

Daily contact with the operations team in both Baar and the field offices

Providing constructive input to ensure current procedures continue to improve

The ideal candidate is:

A team player with an independent and flexible work attitude

Ready to adapt to international practices

Efficient and well-organized working skills

A person who thinks and acts maturely and takes responsibility will fit in well with our multicultural and entrepreneurial as well as performance driven environment

A sound educational background (commercial apprenticeship or bachelor)

3 – 4 years of working in laytime and demurrage calculations

Technical knowledge to include understanding of dry bulk shipping and terminal’s operation

Good know-how in using IT applications (MS Office, Business Objects and especially MS Excel)

Excellent English skills (spoken and written), further languages are of advantage

Holding a Swiss work permit or passport holder of CH / EU
