The Job Opportunity
Become part of Business Consulting Finance and work within a young, dynamic, and multicultural team advising the CFO function of national and international clients in the areas of Digital Finance, Corporate Transformation, Enterprise Performance Management and Global Business Services (GBS)
Lead the GBS solution tower, incl. team management and solution development, and become part of the Leadership Team within Business Consulting Finance
Independently manage cross-functional engagements teams:
– Apply state-of-the-art project management techniques as well as technical and business knowledge to ensure that high-quality results
– Drive the execution of entity-wide transformation programs, from strategy development and design phase, to optimization and implementation
Your focus would be on our GBS sub-team which is typically involved in the following activities:
– Prepare benchmark analyses to optimize organizational structures and evaluate target operating models across Centers of Excellence (CoE) and Shared Service Centers (SSCs) as well as global governance structures, e.g. Global Process Owners (GPOs)
– Design and implement leading, end-to-end finance processes like Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, or Order-to-Cash and next generation digital capabilities
– Coordinate transitions into centralized back-office structures, e.g. lift & shift, design & lift, virtual transitions
– Design and implement back-office sourcing models and outsourcing partnerships for back-office process structures
Proactively manage and maintain client relationships and stay closely connected with industry thought leaders
Actively shape new solution development linked to new GBS market trends and client needs, e.g. publication of articles or presentations for conferences
Drive knowledge sharing and learning across the team to foster internal knowledge development
Responsibility for people development within the team, e.g. guide junior colleagues in their work and play a role in upskilling the team
Actively contribute to leading the change, shaping our culture and
developing teaming as well as individuals withing the team

Successfully completed studies in economics, finance or a comparable course of study
A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, e.g. a position in management consulting (min 5 years) or in the Finance or GBS department of an international market leader.
The scope of your experience should cover:
– Clear understanding of the CFO function within an organization
– Deep understanding of the back-office centralization of transactional- and value-add activities across Centers of Excellence (CoEs) and Shared Service Centers (SSCs)
– Project experience in the standardization, digitalization and automation of finance processes as well as other typical GBS processes like PTP, OTC, or RTR
– Experience with target operating model design in the context of GBS and the business partner role of finance
– Understanding of the outsourcing provider landscape for back-office processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and rigorous working methods
High motivation, objective driven and entrepreneurial mindset
Experience in sales activities, e.g. proposal creation / business development, and understanding of business metrics
Network of relevant clients and thought leaders within GBS
Proven project management experience, with ability to lead and mobilize cross-functional teams and deliver complex and high-impact programs
Empathetic personality, excellent team leadership skills and enjoy working in a collaborative and inclusive environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, further languages are a plus
Willingness to travel
