Job Overview
The Sustainability Reporting and Data Analyst is responsible for providing sustainability data management and data assurance support for the Copper Industrial Department to communicate and improve the department’s sustainability performance. This role will report directly to the Head of Environment and Communities Copper.
The role
Building and managing internal reporting procedures and data quality assurance for sustainability and climate change data for the department
Coordinating data collection, analysis, synthesis of, and assurance against environmental, social and, greenhouse gas data from the asset to department level
Providing input on sustainability reporting procedures, making recommendations for improvements and reporting procedures, and managing its execution
Providing data management support to sustain and improve the department’s sustainability and climate change reporting program, including the development and maintenance of product life cycle assessments
Working across the full department portfolio to support the organizations strategy and goals through data management and analysis
Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, especially using large energy datasets
Familiarity with environmental data and reporting, including greenhouse gases (GHG), energy, air, water, waste, social performance and human rights
Excellent time management and organization skills and strong analytical skills including the ability to spot and communicate trends, identify root causes of outlier data points
Life cycle assessment experience a plus
High level of data management and reporting skills
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and build strong network and relationships across all geographies
Minimum requirements:
Bachelors degree in environmental science, data science, business administration or related field including 3-5 years of relevant experience with environmental sustainability data collection and analysis, preferably within the mining sector
Experience in managing non-financial reporting systems, strong attention to detail and ability to drive data integrity
Strong excel skills (big data analysis; modelling) and Microsoft Office skills; Enablon experience a plus
Fluency in English with any other language (French, Spanish and/or German) an asset
Holding a Swiss work permit or passport holder of CH / EU
