Job Overview
The Vessel Operator works on all aspects of Coal freight trading from basic transportation and logistics concepts to trading strategies. The employee will work closely with traders, team colleagues in the department as well as with people in other departments and field offices.
The main tasks and responsibilities include:
Managing and coordinating day to day operations of allocated vessels
Providing technical and logistical support to trading for shipping matters
Preparing and checking Letters of Indemnity, reviewing charterparty clauses and agreements
Arranging hire payments and freight invoices
Arranging bunker supplies for the vessels
Monitoring profit and loss for all the vessels/cargoes
Other duties and responsibilities as the Company may see fit
Is efficient, able to work under pressure, very well organized, detailed and comfortable in using IT applications (MS Office)
Has the ability to integrate into and to work well in a multicultural team and fast-pace environment
Has an independent, flexible and entrepreneurial work attitude and high motivation to solve problems
Is self-motivated and willing to take over responsibilities
Qualifications and requirements:
At least 3 years of shipping experience, preferably in time charter operations
Familiarity of IMOS vessel operating system
Proficiency in English (both verbal and written), any further language is an asset
Holding a Swiss work permit or passport holder of CH / EU
