Due to Julius Baer’s global presence, projects and initiatives require legal assessments or approvals from local legal departments regarding international enquiries, for example on banking secrecy, data privacy, outsourcing, marketing, employment and contract law as well as financial market law. The international coordination, alignment and consumption of legal feedback from local legal departments therefore, requires legal coordination, translation and consolidation efforts at the Headquarter in Zurich, Switzerland.
For this, we are looking for a 50% temporary project assistance until December 2020. Extensions may be possible but not guaranteed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordination of the Legal departments in international legal inquiries or approvals of upcoming global projects and initiatives in the areas mentioned above

Support in building up and maintaining tool and process (e.g. SharePoint)

Work on increasing efficiency, standardizing advice and maintaining international knowhow

Increase capability of supporting large-scale global projects and initiative

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree in law

Ability to work in a changing and challenging environment in a cooperative, independent and determined manner

Strong analytical skills and some experience in handling and processing data

Dedicated academic personality who is passionate about researching new areas, legal and regulatory frameworks and data management

Open-minded, eager and team-oriented personality who enjoys communicating and working with a wide range of experts, listening to different ideas and expressing your own to achieve the best possible results

Professional language skills in German and English
