Job Overview

The Private Markets financial operations team is looking to add a motivated self-starter to the Applications Management team. The role has primary focus on Investran by eliciting current and future business requirements from the Financial Operations team and to coordinate with IT Enterprise Architect and Business Architects to develop and implement technical solutions. The Business Analyst will be required to understand the needs of the company from both the business and technical perspective and should be able to communicate clearly with all stakeholders to ensure successful completion of various projects.

Investran specific responsibilities:

Comprehensive understanding of all modules of Investran Private Equity Software (Version 7.12 onwards preferable);

Maintaining, updating, and creating UDFs within Investran Web CRM;

Assisting in the upload, download and updating of information within various modules;

Creation and update of Investran Reports and Reporting Service packages for business users;

Liaise with applications and systems providers to evaluate new and upcoming features for potential business usage;

Coordinate testing and roll out of applications and systems upgrades;

Training of business users both generally and for new procedures;

Ad-hoc trouble-shooting as and when required.

Project related responsibilities:

Streamlining and consolidating existing business processes with an emphasis on sustainability and future efficiency and scalability within Financial Operations;

Compiling use cases and eliciting user requirements for the development of technical solutions;

Collaborating with enterprise and business architects on technology projects;

Participating in and evaluating business uses for new technologies introduced;

Represent the perspective and needs of the Financial Operations team in multi-department IT projects;

Gather business user requirements in preparation of project proposals and project plans as required;

Occasional business analysis support provided to wider Private Markets projects.

University degree in Finance/Accounting and IT / Programming or qualification;

5+ years experience working with Investran from technical and business perspectives, working experience with Hazeltree and/or Dealcloud a plus;

Prior work experience in fund industry in an accounting/finance, controlling or fund audit role, basic understanding of accounting and fund structure set up is required;

Experience in coordinating projects across multiple teams;

Strong skills associated with process analysis, information flow and problem solving;

Fluency in English; German an asset;

Deliver in an environment with high expectations and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment;

Manage your time well, adapting to dynamic situations and priorities.
